Reflections from Zion Wellness Retreat

I just got back from our Zion retreat, and let me tell you—it was something else.

Every time I lead one of these, I’m reminded that retreats are never just about the yoga, the location, or the schedule. They’re about the women who show up. The energy they bring. The stories they carry. The willingness to soften, connect, and see themselves—and each other—more clearly.

At the end of every retreat, I always ask the group a simple question:

“What was one of your biggest takeaways?” And lately, there’s been a common thread in the answers I hear:

“I was nervous to come on a retreat with 20 women I didn’t know."

“I’ve had some tough experiences with women in the past.”

“I didn’t know if I’d fit in.”

Even though this retreat had a handful of mother-daughter pairs and a few longtime friends traveling together, many women were stepping into something totally new—meeting people for the first time, traveling solo, unsure of what to expect.

And honestly, I get it. So many women have been burned by past group dynamics—friend groups, work environments, even wellness spaces. They’ve felt the sting of comparison, judgment, exclusion, or just straight-up fake energy. That stuff leaves a mark.

But what I’ve seen on these retreats is different. What happens when the space is real, intentional, and open?

Walls start to drop.Laughter starts to flow. Tears come—not just from releasing pain, but from receiving love. Women start to feel supported again, seen again, connected again.

I’ve watched it happen over and over: A woman shows up guarded, unsure. And a few days later, she’s hiking a canyon while sharing a story she hasn’t told in years. She’s dancing barefoot after dinner. She’s hugging someone she just met, and it feels real.

This is the power of conscious community.

Not curated perfection. Not performative sisterhood. But the real stuff.Women being soft and strong.Vulnerable and whole.Kind without competition.Supportive without conditions.

And yeah, we did some epic yoga, too. And breathwork that cracked people wide open. And journaling under the stars. And some serious belly laughs over good food and late-night chats.

Zion, you were stunning. But what made this retreat unforgettable was the women.

Which brings me to what’s next.

Our next retreat is happening August 14–17 at the beautiful Big Raven Farm in Minnesota. It’s called The Embodied Manifestation Retreat, and if that name gives you chills—it’s for a reason.

We’ll be diving into what it means to manifest from the inside out. Not the Pinterest board, wish-upon-a-star version. But the grounded, embodied, soul-level version of manifestation.Through breathwork, movement, reflection, and real conversations, we’ll get clear on what we want—and more importantly, who we’re becoming as we call it in.

You’ll leave feeling more connected, aligned, and supported than ever.

And yeah…if you’ve ever been nervous to join a retreat because of past group dynamics—this is your reminder: you deserve a different experience.

A space where women celebrate each other. A space where you can exhale, soften, and be exactly who you are.

If Zion showed me anything (again), it’s that these retreats change people. Not because we’re trying to change, but because we remember who we were before the noise.

If you feel the nudge—come with us in August. I promise: it’s not about fixing yourself. It’s about coming home to yourself, with a community that gets it.

Let’s go deeper. Let’s get real. Let’s retreat.
